The success of the St. John Vianney Inter-Faith Food Pantry efforts to help end hunger in Calvert County is due in large part to our outstanding volunteers. We welcome and appreciate your time, talent, and interest which benefit the less fortunate in our community. We especially need physically fit adults who can lift between multiple loads of 30 to 50 pounds on Mondays from 9:00 a.m. -12 noon, Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. - 12 noon, Wednesdays from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m., and other times as necessary. We also train team leaders from a pool of those who can volunteer on a regular basis.

To volunteer at the St. John Vianney Inter-Faith Food Bank, all volunteers must meet certain requirements. Applications may be picked up at the Food Pantry on Monday from 9:00 a.m.– 12 noon, Wednesday from 9 a.m. - 12 noon, and Wednesday from 3:00 –6:00 p.m

We have limited youth volunteer opportunities. Volunteers must maintain a positive, professional and courteous attitude at all times. Students wishing to receive volunteer service credit must complete a student volunteer service card (included with the application). A signed permission slip is required for all volunteers ages 14 – 17.

The St. John Vianney Inter-Faith Food Pantry appreciates your interest and service. We will do our best to ensure that your volunteer experience is rewarding, productive and safe. We are committed to respecting your skills and individual needs. We ask your cooperation in adhering to the guidelines found on the volunteer application. If you have any questions, please contact Jody Longhill, Office Manager (410-286-1944 or jody.longhill@gmail.com).
