The Farmer’s Almanac says that this October may be cooler and rainier than normal. Undaunted, Project ECHO is planning on holding its Empty Bowl Picnic, on Saturday, October 16th.
Time was, we would have the event indoors, at St. John Vianney, in the spring. The weather didn’t matter. In fact, the worse the weather…the greater the turnout. Then came COVID.
Last year, we took the event outdoors, to Running Hare Vineyard, in Prince Frederick. Everyone who attended gave it excellent reviews, so we’re doing it again this year.
Please join us with your friends and family, spread out your blanket and chairs, grab your food and drinks (and your bowl to take home), and then spend a beautiful fall afternoon, relaxing and listening to the great sounds of Eclectic Wave Band. We’ll also have Corn Hole setups, and we’ll be raffling off some great gift baskets.
You’ll be helping Project ECHO provide Hope for the Homeless, here in Calvert County, and you’ll have fun doing it. We only receive a small fraction of what it takes to keep our doors open, from the government, so we’re counting on your support.
Please visit EmptyBowlPicnic.com to learn more about the event, and to buy your tickets.
And if the Farmer’s Almanac is right, No Worries!
The rain date is one week later, on Saturday, October 23rd.
