Geraldine McClanahan

eraldine Florence McClanahan, 75, of Prince Frederick, Maryland passed away in Cheverly, MD on December 15, 2020. Geraldine was born on August 5, 1945 in Washington, DC to the late Fred and Barbra Busby Harrington. She had lived in Calvert County since 1992. Geraldine had worked as a dental assistant. Besides spending time with her family, she enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts and cooking. When asked what she prepared best, her family replied, “Everything!”

Geraldine is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ernest McClanahan, III; son, Ernest (Kathleen) McClanahan, IV of Prince Frederick, Maryland; daughters, Deborah (Harold) Mattheis of Sykesville, Maryland and Denise (James Abell) Wilson of Prince Frederick, Maryland; brothers, Steven (Nancy) Travis of St. Leonard, Maryland and Kenneth (Christine) Travis of Lusby, Maryland; sisters, Brenda (Paul) Rosenberger of Lusby, Maryland and Marguerite (Mike) McClanahan of Asheville, North Carolina and five grandchildren, Mac and Devin McClanahan, Bethany and Alexis Wilson and Aiden Abell.
