We are looking for an individual who can serve as Coordinator for Eucharistic Ministers of Most Holy Communion. The Coordintor will assist the Pastor with scheduling of Extraordindary Ministers for distribution of the Eucharist during Mass Celebrations (Vigils, Sundays, Solemnities and Feast Days) as well schedule for homebound, nursing home and hospital patients.
Individual must be a member of the Parish, show Love and Reverence for the Eucharist, have received all Sacraments of Initiation.
We are looking for individual(s) who can serve as Sacristans for morning daily Mass. Indiviual(s) would prepare altar for Mass (setting out vessels, bread, wine, lighting candles) prepare Lectionary & Intercessions books for daily readings. The Sacristan would (as needed) assist presider on the altar to include serving as (or securing) Lector for readings and ringing altar/sanctus bells during consecration. The Sacristan would also assist with set up for Eucharistic Adoration. Training will be available.
Safe Nights is an interfaith consortium of churches that open their hearts and church homes to the homeless for one week each beginning in November and ending in March or early April. Shelters are open 7 days a week from 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. Shelters provide a cot and three nutritious meals (breakfast, dinner and a bag lunch) in a safe environment.
We are looking for an individual who can work as liaison with the Safe Nights Consortium on behalf of St. John Vianney. In addition, the Coordinator would manage and oversee shelter needs during week(s) hosted by SJV to include scheduling, shelter set up/receiving, volunteers for meals, monitors and cleaning and relocating completion. The coordinator would also oversee supplies and material utilized by Safe Nights that are typically stored here at SJV.
